Ep. 226 The 4:30 Movie (Think Stranger Things meets Goonies meets Full House) EPIC NOSTALGIA!

Yes, even I can’t believe what I’m about to provide ya’ll, but yes, #the430movie is without a doubt an INCREDIBLE film! And yes, on many many levels… Even though I truly cannot STAND #kevinsmith and his pompous A$$!

What separates this movie from being good to great is the nostalgia piece… If you grew up in the 80s or even 90s, the world was an AMAZING place. Entertainment was at its highest levels from movies to television and music. Think about, some of the greatest movies ever made came out in the 80s and 90s…

Add the cherry on top; LOVE. Yes, that gross icky stuff we once used to attain in human society without fear of repercussions… Which is honestly sad if you think about it. I’ve mentioned it multiple times on this Channel… For whatever reason movies today avoid LOVE like the plague. But in this new film by Kevin Smith, we embrace the joy and happiness that falling in LOVE can bring.

And you know what, maybe that is why I enjoyed this film so much. Because it took me back in time where you played outside till the sun went down, and you had friends that would last a lifetime… Again, negativity speaking, it’s just very rare to see it today.

But ultimately, ‘The 4:30 Movie’ is simple. It doesn’t need to be anything else. A guy falls in love with the woman of his dreams and while they await their ultimate date to see a movie, shenanigans entail that we all once experienced before the introduction and full take over of cell phones and technology…

Such a dam shame really. I’m grateful to have been an 80s/90s kid… And movies like this only make you look back and think, “Dam, I’ll never get that again…” But of course in a positive light this time!
