This unedited video was produced by Nevada Liberty for archival purposes. On October 11, 2024, Terry Moran from ABC News interviewed Washoe County Commissioner Mike Clark for a segment to air nationwide ahead of the 2024 U.S. General Election on November 5.

The interview questioned Clark's decision to prove accurate results and a proper use of tax dollars in two contested local primary races.

Washoe County Deputy DA Nathan Edwards, legal counsel for the commissioners, on a live broadcast on the county's YouTube channel, July 9, 2024, advised the commissioners to "vote their conscience," consistent with the laws and their rights. The three republican commissioners, Andriola, Clark, and Herman, then voted not to immediately approve certification of the local recounts, and to further investigate the election system and how it's operated.

In response, Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar and Attorney General Aaron Ford filed a Writ of Mandamus with the Nevada Supreme Court, threatening criminal action and seeking sanctions against the commissioners. Twenty-four hours later, Commissioner Andriola announced she would change her vote and asked Washoe County Commission Chairperson Alexis Hill to schedule a second vote. At the second vote, Andriola and Clark certified the election. Herman stood firm in her refusal. The Nevada Supreme Court then ruled the matter closed. However, Secretary Aguilar filed a petition to re-open the moot case to reign in "rogue commissioners" from exercising their will in future contests. The Nevada Supreme denied the petition, leaving open the specter of future litigation posed by Secretary Aguilar and Attorney General Ford.
