Venezuela's dictator, Nicholas Maduro, finds himself at a crossroads similar to Panama's former dictator, Manuel Noriega, who pushed his accepted mistreatment of his citizens, and tested the patience of the United States with his—among other misdeeds—drug trafficking.

Erik notes, with a bounty currently in place, Maduro can negotiate an exit, avoiding incarceration, or continue his charade as the "legitimate" winner of Venezuela's recent election, and face imprisonment—or worse. "Actions have consequences."
