ON THE LONG JOURNEY HOME

This is a memorial to my son, Adam Cochrane. He died at age 28. I wrote this song for him, On The Long Journey Home. Even though this is a highly personal subject, many people deal with their grief in different ways. My way is music. I'm also dedicating this to any parent who has lost a child in an untimely manner. My son had gone to Iraq. I believe that as a consequence he suffered PTSD, as well as a spinal injury. He had an operation, but was told that he'd always have pain for the rest of his life. He was also very depressed. The good news is that I believe that we are magnificent beings and that we live forever, in many different lives in this or other realms of existence. Therefore, for me, I believe that I will see my son again, in another time and place. I have recently seen and talked with my son in a dream, which allows me to know that his pain is over, and he is now doing fine.
