Part 2 of our 1980 Square Body rebuild.
In this episode - Repairing dash lights, leaf springs & wheel studs

I had to do some very redneck things to get this thing operational. The leaf springs were a pain! I ended up rebuilding them on the truck. The printed motherboard on the gauges was fried so I had to solder it together for a temporary fix. I will eventually replace it but at $200 for a repurposed part or 500+ for a new one this will have to do for now! But hey it worked.

*Disclaimer!!!* I am not a mechanic, most of what I am doing to this truck is very much the wrong way! My goal is to make a good running hunting rig that looks kinda cool but still shows it's age. I want something I can beat the hell out of but will always keep running. More than anything this project is a learning experience for the next much nicer truck. Either way my kids and I are learning together! THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE INSTRUCTIONAL. There are many very good channels that demonstrate how to do these repairs the right way.
