In our premiere UNCUT episode, host Mike Sea speaks with Adrian F. Malagon, the current chair of the Libertarian Party of California, about all things US politics. Adrian defines Libertarianism in America today, and the principles it was founded on. Adrian also talks about some of the challenges the contemporary LIbertarian movement has faced, as well as policy issues, and his experience in working with colleagues across the aisle from both parties. Adrian also details common perceptions of libertarianism within the state of California, as well as how the party is gaining traction in other states. The state-to-state election process is also discussed and how the libertarian view favors allowing states to run their own federal election processes. The topic of the diversity of ideas and ideologies within the libertarian movement is also examined as Adrian shares his insights.
