Bad Maps #34: More WW1 Wackiness!

Can ANYBODY explain why maps of World War One are the most inaccurate!? I do not understand this phenomenon. So, I ask my viewers if they can find the answer. I've been reviewing bad maps and even I know nothing about why this is the case.
