K2 Documentary Summit

a comprehensive video chronicling my 2014 K2 climb to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's research. At 58 years old, I, Alan Arnette, became the oldest American and the 18th person to reach the summit of K2. On July 27, 2014—my birthday—we reached the peak.

The travel by plane and FJ Cruiser to the "end of the road" at Askole, where the 80-mile hike to K2 Base Camp starts, is seen in the beginning of the video. Trekking across the Baltoro Glacier is an exciting experience unto itself.
