Today we hit an unthinkable milestone in Star Citizen’s Server Meshing Tech Preview! CIG tested a 2000-player server meshed environment, featuring 10 servers connected into a single shard, all simulating the Stanton system in parallel. This incredible test shows that Server Meshing is making huge strides, with CIG’s new RMQ (Replication Message Queue) system pushing player limits like never before.

I break down the entire experience, including the successful tests and the sheer scale of 2000 players interacting in the same universe. We also cover how this tech is setting the stage for Patch 4.0, which could bring us the long-awaited Pyro system and a stable environment supporting 500-800 players seamlessly.
