The full meeting of the Fairfield County Commissioners' weekly meeting for October 8, 2024.

The meeting began with an update presentation from Family YMCA of Lancaster and Fairfield County by CEO Jason Boothe. https://ymcalancaster.org/

Next, Central Ohio Liaison for Ohio Auditor of State, Scott Brown presented an Award of Distinction to Fairfield County Auditor Carrie Brown.

Public Comments began at 28:49 and ran through 43.21 with a group from United Sovereign Americans reading a resolution statement concerning election reporting discrepancies their group has found using data from the 2022 general election and presenting it to the commission. Then Sherry Pymer of Walnut Township presented additional petition signatures opposing industrial solar along with information on how landowners are trying to circumvent the exclusionary zone by annexing into municipal jurisdictions. Sherry concluded by once again asking the Commissioners to sign a letter of opposition to the existing industrial solar project of Eastern Cottontail. https://citizensforfairfields.org/

The remainder of the meeting were items related to the regular Legal Update and County Administrative Update(s) and the commission's "voting pattern" with the commission going into Executive Session to discuss personnel issues.
