MWEB (Mimble Wimble Extension Block) is a soft fork upgrade that was initially proposed for Bitcoin by Andrew Poelstra. But in 2022, Litecoin added MWEB to make the currency more fungible – and it was thanks to the coding efforts of Grin++ developer David Burkett that this marvel of modern cryptography was put into practice.

MWEB differs from Grin and other MimbleWimble implementations in various ways. In this interview, David explains how, why, and to which extent the privacy provided is good.
