Camel With Gas Problem Not Feeling It

Camels sure are surly creatures. Let’s just say if there’s no “Of Arabia” at the end of your name, you’re facing an uphill battle in taming one, Larry. They’re interesting looking, we’ll give them that, but unless there’s no other available option, what’s the point in riding one, really? Besides the cheapest of thrills, of course. Well, that would just so happen to be what this lady was after at the moment this video was taken.

From the get-go, this particular camel is not feeling it. In this case, the “it” could apply to just about anything, since the poor fella was clearly dealing with a wicked stomach malady. Can you hear those belches? Get that camel some sodium bicarbonate STAT! They’re not like pigeons, right? Should be perfectly harmless. We here at AFV can’t imagine a little pop pop fizz fizz would explode an entire camel as it would a pigeon (if you know otherwise, please don’t @ us). Whatever the issue, as Billy Shakes would say, something was rotten in the state of Denmark (in this case, Denmark clearly being the camel-tummy). We should note that analogy is straight up horrible, since it’s highly doubtful a fifteenth century Brit would have ever laid eyes on a camel, but we have a word count to reach, folks. (if you have any complaints, please don’t @ us)

So, with the help of two ostensibly trustworthy camel wranglers, this bandana’d, vaguely hippie-styled lady mounts her dessert steed. Instantly, this camel is not having any of it. We repeat: ANY OF IT. About as quickly as she mounted the majestic beast, she was unceremoniously bucked off, tossed to the ground and saved at the last moment by one of the wranglers (told you he looked trustworthy). In the end, everyone had a good laugh, and hopefully for the camel, his issue took care of itself shortly after this episode.

At the end of the day, despite his gastro issues, I would still put this camel far above “Joe” on the all-time camel. It’s clear we caught him on a bad day; he just wasn’t at his best is all. He may not be a sunshiny type, but it’s doubtful he’d be this exasperated all the time. Keep popping those Rolaids, pal.
