Roam Nomad Roam

It's in these streets
inappropriate, I must say
the humans who live in cardboard boxes
in downtown LA

their dreams bring me a tear
hoping for a place of warmth
and some fresh air

maybe they are asking for too much
cause they are so far from a humans touch

their strength to survive is truly amazing
they fight to live without ever giving

dependent on charity
they receive
from a soul reaching out
fulfilling their minimal needs

I can't stand it
their homes
resemble that of caskets

who would believe
they sleep in cardboard boxes
full of insanity

they don’t belong on the streets
give them shelter
before our children weep

this reality we face
so severe
such a disgrace
I am forever part of
this human race

they give us horror
they give us fate
death among us
we all correlate

It's in these streets
where the nomads roam
