Florida residents begin to recover from the devastating damage left behind from Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton left widespread destruction on the Gulf Coast of Florida and more damage to some barrier islands. Storm surges flooded some communities with torrential rains of up to a foot or more rain, leading to hundreds of rescues. Milton also spawned a deadly outbreak of tornadoes, with more than three dozen twisters reported in the state.
