The Amalekites…the enemies of Israel…coming down into their village!
They captured the women and the children….making them slaves!
They ransacked the village…they took away anything of value.
They left behind nothing but a heap of smoking ruins!
Everything was gone!
David has lost everything!
The only thing he has in his possession at this point are the clothes on his back!
WERE the clothes on his back the only thing David had?
Was there something else in this picture of discouragement, distress,
hopelessness?
What exactly was this “something”?
Is IT the key to our encouraging ourselves in the Lord?
