Starting My Fall Crop of Carrots & Radishes in Houston, TX Zone 9B.

I recently topped off my raised garden beds with @livingearthhq Organic Garden Soil which is a little sandy, so perfect for carrots!

You might notice I went a little heavy on the seeding. 😂 Most of these seeds are fairly old (~2 years old) so I’m planting more seeds than usual and thinning them out later.

I also used a broadfork and watered in my soil before and after seeding. This was a tip from my good buddy Jeremy @dirtypunkgardening who has incredible success with his carrots.

I interplanted the radishes and carrots knowing the radishes will be ready to harvest before the carrots, giving them plenty of room!
