Hurricane Milton unleashed rain, tornadoes, and strong winds on the U.S. coast Wednesday as residents faced a last chance to evacuate.

The storm, expected to make landfall in Florida, posed significant threats to the Tampa Bay region, with officials warning of a potentially catastrophic impact.

Evacuations were ordered for 15 Florida counties, affecting 7.2 million people.

Milton, a Category 3 hurricane, brought tropical storm-force winds, heavy rain, and tornadoes across southern Florida.
