E-Mail sent to fraugelant bank of America 6 (six) days ago to customerservice@emcom.bankofamerica.com and IGNORED (not answered):
"Today at 10:34 am I was making cash payment to my Credit Card (Acc # xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) at bank of America branch 3500 Eldorado Pkwy McKinney, TX 75072-4224.
Teller refused to accept my issued by Texas DPS License to carry Handgun as form of ID. I asked to call branch manager. Another employee came up, listened to me and returned with another employee (manager?). I had to explain everything again. That License to carry is ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION, Group A: Primary Identification ( Acceptable ID in Texas | StateVitalRecords.org ), same as Texas ID, Texas Driver license and few others.
She said that bank of America accepting ONLY Texas ID and Texas Driver License.
I said that on 01/02/2024 same issue was at branch in McKinney (US 75 @ 380) on after which I called (02/09/2024) bank of America and customer service said that License to carry ACCEPTED.
She stated that the License to carry is not an ID but a license (i.e. she was trying to "make a fool out of me"). After that, she had the audacity to say that she was trying to HELP me and making an exception today she was accepting my license.
Usually making such payment take 3-4 minutes. Today it was about 15.
bank of America commonly known for discrimination against Gun Owners.
But such thing happened 3rd time (second was in same brunch and with same teller month ago SO, considered as HARASSMENT.
I am outraged.
I have reasons to believe, that harassing Gun Owners is a policy of bank of America.
When I got home, I immediately called the NRA and told them about the incident. They said that will contact me.
Then I made a call to bank of America customer service (see attachment #2).
After 36 minutes “on hold” I hanged up (bank didn’t offer “call back from # 800-732-9194). I am not going to waste time calling your bank, but during this weekend will make a video with all explanations of incident with my views on it.
Video will be uploaded on YouTube under title: "bank of America discriminating against Gun Owners" (it will be good commercial for your bank). I will E-Mail to you link on this video.
Then I will make complaint to Consumer Protection Division of Texas Attorney General Office (refusal to accept Official Texas ID.. IT SOMETHING)".
Think TWICE or more times before deciding to have any business with FRAUGELAND institution.
