Mentally disturbed man attacks police in Bridgeport, CT

around 1 a.m. on Oct. 5, Bridgeport police officers Marie Cetti, Jesse Jimenz, Maria Canhassi, and Jahmaine Mercer were dispatched to a home on Terry Place regarding an "emotionally disturbed person."

The report noted that when the officers arrived, they encountered Huntley Jackson, a 45-year-old Black man. Officers were on the front porch of the home and spoke to Jackson, who was standing in the front doorway, according to the Inspector General.

At one point, Jackson reportedly brandished a knife, ran onto the front porch, and attacked Cetti, who was cut on her shoulder, head, and neck. According to the Inspector General, Jimenez then fired his weapon twice, striking Jackson in the torso.
