Ten journalists who covered the Gaza conflict for two of the world's prominent news organizations, CNN and the BBC, have exposed the dynamics within these newsrooms from October 7 onwards, claiming a pro-Israel bias in their reporting, consistent double standards, and frequent breaches of journalistic ethics. They alleged that senior newsroom officials often failed to hold Israeli representatives accountable and interfered with coverage to minimize the portrayal of Israeli atrocities. In one instance at CNN, misleading Israeli propaganda was aired despite prior warnings from staff. The journalists shared their insights with Al Jazeera’s program, The Listening Post, for its documentary titled Failing Gaza: Behind the Lens of Western Media. Adam*, a CNN journalist, stated that prior to October 7, he "hand on heart" trusted the network's journalistic integrity. “However, after October 7, the speed with which news stories aligned with the Israeli narrative emerged truly unsettled me,” he remarked in the film. “There were moments when CNN was willing to be assertive. But overall, it’s evident where we stand, unfortunately. And it does not entirely align with the truth.” @aljazeera If you stand for TRUTH & JUSTICE, SHARE to raise awareness.
