Paul Murphy - 'Bitter Realities' . Social dysfunction and malaise commentary

I spent an evening revisiting some of my older material, and performing it in the style I would use in my early coffee-house and street corner days, metre less important than emotion, rhythm secondary to musical punctuation. Of course, I'm 63 now, not 22, but I think the songs carry. They've held up better than their composer has, and that's the way it should be.

This is the first of 2 performances of 'Bitter Realities' recorded at this mini-session. I used a different vocal line on each, one following the G melody line, the other working around the A-minor line.
