Israel ‘Targets’ Hezbollah Official ‘Supplying’ Iran Arms, Biden Calls Bibi “Liar” Over Rafah Attack

An alleged Israeli airstrike on Syria’s Damascus on Oct 8 targeted a top Hezbollah official, as per a Saudi report. The official is reportedly part of a unit tasked with delivering weapons from Iran to the Lebanese armed group, the report added.
Syria’s state-run SANA news agency claimed seven civilians were killed and 11 others were wounded in the strike.
The strike reportedly hit a residential and commercial building in Damascus’ Mezzeh district near the Iranian embassy. The Syrian state media earlier claimed that Syria’s air defences had intercepted “hostile” targets in the vicinity of Damascus.
The Saudi news outlet Al-Hadath reported the target of the Damascus strike was a member of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400.
