EARLY BREASTFEEDING CHALLENGES//

This is our precious bubba Spencer at only one day old. I was unable to attempt to breastfeed him until the day after his birth because he was born with low glucose levels and had to be cared for in the special care nursery.

To add to the complications, I suffered a post-partum haemorrhage and was taken back down to theatre under a general anaesthetic just hours after his birth via C-section to have a bakri balloon inserted into my uterus.

So those two issues combined meant our breastfeeding journey had quite a rough start. But persistence and perseverance helped us overcome those early challenges :)
