In order to build trust, we need more transparency!

Ministers have power; ministers have influence. It is important that this power and influence is scrutinised. We know that in Parliament there exists many lobbyists, many special interest groups, many individuals seeking to exert influence over the direction of our nation.

As such, Ministers should make their diaries public, I like most of us, would like to see who our elected members of parliament are meeting with in their offices in the halls of power and for what purpose. (Except of course in serious/national security situations where privacy is justified and required etc.)

Our liberal democratic system of government is based on trust. That is why it is both the strongest and, at the same time, the most fragile form of government on earth.

In order to build trust, we need more transparency.
