U.S. Govt Has Another National Security “Whoopsie” Moment
The infamous Russian arms dealer who was exchanged for WNBA star Brittney Griner is now back in the arms business.
Whoopsie.
Viktor Bout, also known as the “Merchant of Death,” has just reportedly sold arms to the Houthis, a terrorist organization.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Before he was arrested in 2008, Bout was infamous for fueling conflicts around the globe by supplying Soviet-manufactured arms to conflict zones across Africa, South America, and the Middle East. His life even inspired the film "Lord of War," starring Nicolas Cage.
Now, his alleged reentry into the arms business raises serious concerns about global security.
Great job, U.S. government.
