20240215 150125 Tux Eating Returned After Disappearance

This is my first visit with Tux after he inexplicably disappeared for eight days. I had just resigned myself to the fact that I probably wasn't ever going to see him again, given that I'd never gone nearly this long without finding him.

Only twice prior to this hadn't I seen him for three days -- and certainly nothing close to eight days.

To this day I have no idea or explanation as to where he was during those eight days. Given that this was the time period when his water intake was enormously high and he sometimes didn't seem able to control where he peed sometimes, my only guess was that someone decided to take him home with them and it didn't work out for the above reasons. Subsequent to this I had this experience, and it's still the only one that I've ever been able to come up with. He'd been very, very reliable showing up to be fed for so many months that it seemed like something happened to him -- for better or worse.

It was really, really great to see him again and to know that he was safe.
