Brilliant northern lights illuminate Lapland sky

Bright red and green northern lights were seen in the skies over Lapland in northern Finland on Monday (October 7) night. The auroras, seen over Sodankyla, north of the Arctic Circle, were captured by a local photographer who described it as the most vibrant red aurora display he had ever seen.
