breaking overnight Shots were fired by an off duty Philadelphia police officer The call came in as an attempt at carjacking That's all going on at Home Avenue and Willett's Road that's in the city's northeast section Action reporter Corey Davis is sorting through the details He's joining us now live from the scene with the very latest Good morning Corey it's time Good morning So the tow truck arrived a few minutes ago Take a look behind us The car that's on the tow truck right now That is the off duty police officer's vehicle there has a what appears to be possibly a bullet hole in the driver's side window shattered glass on in that vehicle and behind it there where they're attaching this other car to the tow truck That's the other person believed to be to get additional details from officers and panning down I want to give you a look A lot of canine as well as the water department A lot of activity was out here earlier The water department crews were digging in the sewers there under the direction of police detectives trying to search for a possible weapon earlier I want to give you a look at some videos I walk you through what we know so far This all happened just before 1130 last night here at the intersection of Home Avenue and Willits Street here in the northeast 2 cars involved As we showed you earlier the off duty officer's car is the vehicle with the shattered driver's side window and the other one belongs to the person who was shot in all of this We're told right now we're told very little at the moment about how this all played out but we know 2 shots were fired during this possible attempted carjacking as investigators continue to work out details We're also told that the person who was shot in this is in very critical condition so we will stay on top of what we have on top of this as we continue to try to find out more information over the course of the morning for not reporting live here in the Northeast Corey Davis Channel 6 action news Matt Thank you Corey
