is Joker 2 the worst movie of 2024 no I actually thought it was a fantastic Doom and Gloom introspective look at Arthur Fleck and his relationship with the joker Persona the literal opening frame of the movie spells this out with the story being way more of a courtroom drama centered around the psychological Thriller of flex mind with musical elements thrown in there honestly it's like a serious version of 1994's the mask and I'll admit up top that uh Lady Gaga was severely underused used as Lee quinzel but it wasn't her movie instead Todd Phillips touches on aspects like mental health mistreatment Fame false and distractive Idols personally I saw it as way more of a mirror being held up to the audience showing that yeah we we we do live in a society it's beautifully shot acted even better I enjoyed the musical cutaways I mean yes they could have been better they could have been grander but it's all supposed to be Arthur's way of dissociating from the depressed world he lives in I for one fully understand and see this perspective
