The Tragic Death of John the Baptist - Mark 6:14-29

The focus of the passage is actually Herod, who feared the ministries of John the Baptist and Jesus. Falling into the trap set by Herodias and her daughter, he orders the execution of John, and later believes that Jesus must be a resurrected John back to torment him.
