Large explosions in Beirut after Israeli strikes

More than 30 air strikes have taken place in the southern suburbs of Beirut - where Hezbollah has a strong presence.

Huge flames and plumes of smoke could be seen billowing into the night sky, while residents were filmed fleeing in panic as explosions echoed in the background.

It comes after the Israeli military had warned people to evacuate and said last night it had killed 440 Hezbollah fighters in its ground invasion in southern Lebanon.
