Session 4, Overview of American Indian records and resources on the National Archives website. Our speaker, Jessica Hopkins, will take you on a guided tour of the new and improved American Indian web pages.
A team of the National Archives staff from across the country have created well-organized pages to help researchers understand and utilize the wealth of federal records relating to American Indians. These federal documents produced through government administration and interaction with American Indians over many decades, cover a wide variety of topics and time periods, ranging from births and deaths to allotments and heir ship to land and property.
