The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov presented the country's highest state awards – Gold Star medals and personalized firearms to Russian servicemen who showed courage and heroism in the performance of military duty.

The head of the Russian military Department, on behalf of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and on his own behalf, congratulated the servicemen with high awards, thanked them for their exemplary performance of official duties and wished them further success in achieving our common victory.

"On the line of combat contact, you have shown the highest professionalism, readiness to selflessly protect the interests of our Motherland and the lives of its citizens. They demonstrated the fortitude, bravery, courage and honor that distinguished the heroes of the Fatherland throughout history. In fact, they proved their loyalty to the Motherland and the oath," the Russian Defense Minister stressed.

"I thank you and in your person all those who are at the forefront today for the conscientious performance of their official duties. You are the true pillar of Russia. Millions of our compatriots support you and are proud of you. I wish you good health and a speedy victory to all of us," Andrei Belousov said.
