ULA Prepares for Final Vulcan Rocket Test Flight
United Launch Alliance (ULA) is set to conduct its final planned test flight of the Vulcan rocket on Friday morning in a mission dubbed Cert-2. Liftoff is scheduled for 6 a.m. EDT (1000 UTC) from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, with an 80% chance of favorable weather.

Vulcan Rocket's Role and Purpose
The Vulcan rocket is designed to replace ULA's retired Delta 4 and Atlas 5 rockets. The Cert-2 mission is the second required test before Vulcan can begin launching U.S. national security payloads. ULA President and CEO Tory Bruno expressed confidence in this flight, following a successful Cert-1 mission in January.
