(April 2014) Syria Peace Pilgrimage Under Terrorist Mortar Fire

A 60 mm shell was fired at our hotel at around 7:30 this morning, hitting roughly 20 metres away, causing the injuries of bystanders. A second shell was also fired in the vicinity. Elsewhere in Damascus, a building was shelling, killing one woman--the wife of the former vice president of Damascus university--as she cooked in her kitchen.
