Tolkien Professor LIES About Canon to DEFEND Rings of Power FAIL!

Rings of Power Season 2 is over and it will go down as the most expensive disaster in episodic history. Every aspect of storytelling was a failure and every character has been assassinated. Sauron cries (again), Galadriel gets stabbed in the chest and jumps off a cliff (and lives), Arondir comes back from the dead. But look at the Balrog! Look at Narsil! YAY, I remember! This show wants to be Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy so badly.

The only way you can make this fit in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien is to blatantly lie about it, which is exactly what Amazon paid the self-proclaimed Tolkien Professor to do. Corey Olsen had the audacity to claim that there is no such thing as canon in the world of Tolkien because he thought about different origins for certain characters. These thoughts were posted to official Prime Video channels, so hopefully the cheque for your credibility was worth it!
