U.S. Power Grid Left Vulnerable After Biden-Harris Administration Sends Vital Equipment to Ukraine!
Authorities are urging households across the Southeast to brace for prolonged power outages in the wake of Hurricane Helene, as critical electrical equipment needed to restore power has been diverted to Ukraine by the Biden-Harris Administration. Along with sending artillery shells to Ukraine, the Biden-Harris administration also handed over the U.S. stockpile of vital electrical infrastructure, such as transformers and switchgears, which are desperately needed to repair damaged power grids in areas like Asheville, N.C., and Greenville, S.C.
Historically, the U.S. has maintained a reserve of essential electrical equipment for emergencies. However, with Hurricane Helene causing widespread damage, these resources are now unavailable due to their recent transfer overseas. A video from two weeks before the hurricane shows Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussing $325 million in taxpayer funds being allocated to repair Ukraine’s energy grid, adding to the frustration.
Reports indicate that 360 electricity substations across the Carolinas and Georgia are in dire need of new transformers to restore power, but these supplies have been depleted. Social media outrage is growing, with many blaming the administration’s decision to prioritize foreign aid over domestic needs. "Millions of Americans could be left in the dark for months," tweeted the @amuse account on X (formerly Twitter), reflecting widespread discontent.
The situation has sparked further concerns about the Biden-Harris administration’s decisions. Some critics, like X user @QTheLibertine1, called it "beyond treason," pointing out the lengthy time required to manufacture new transformers. Others fear that adversaries like Russia and China are observing these vulnerabilities closely, with some users noting China’s control over transformers following Biden’s reversal of Donald Trump’s ban on Chinese-made electrical grid components.
This has led to increased fears that China could disrupt the U.S. power grid remotely. While these claims are speculative, they underscore the growing concern over national security and the prioritization of foreign interests over domestic welfare.
