HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 12:14-20
* Gen 12:14-16 One cannot imagine how beautiful a sixty-five year old woman would be that got her attracted to a heathen king. Her beauty must have been stunning. This is what God does to those who, out of a genuine heart serve Him. May God's beauty be seen upon you. Notice how that God used the adversity to prosper Abram, who received a lot of tributes from the Pharaoh. Watch out for God in your adversities because it would turn out for your good Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

* Gen 12:17 The covenant of God was in force here. What Abraham could not do for himself (protection against a stronger force) God did for him, while in response. Abram represented God on earth, shining his light for Jehovah, building Him altars. This is what happens in every covenant practice, the Covenantors cover for themselves.

* Gen 12:18-20 Here is a most humiliating rebuke, and Abram deserved it. Had not God interfered, he might have been tempted to stay in Egypt and forget the promise (Psa_105:13, Psa_105:15). Often still does God rebuke His people and remind them through enemies that this world is not their rest.

Father, let every circumstance of my life turn to me for good in Jesus' name! Rom 8:28
