SGT. Matthew Baker is a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division. He has recently been promoted to squad leader, and must now lead his men through the Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. He never wanted to be squad leader, but on D-Day, he doesn't have a choice.
