The Entire Emperor Pilaf Arc | Dragon Ball

The Emperor Pilaf Arc in the Dragon Ball Manga marks the very first chapter of the entire series. Though we've gone through all the events and elements of the anime already, we can still come back to where it all started, and enjoy them in manga form! Dragon Ball takes an interesting spin on things compared to Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, including more adult themed jokes, and self awareness that we don't see much in the newer iterations of the anime anymore. We begin our journey being introduced to Goku and Bulma, two main characters who's paths crossed due to the legend of the "Dragon Balls", magical orbs that have been rumored to grant any one wish when all seven are gathered together. Goku coincidentally possesses the four star ball, a memento of his grandfather "Son Gohan", a deceased martial arts master.

Goku and Bulmas journey becomes quite an interesting one, as they encounter lifelong friends and enemies along the way, who all have a similar goal of having their wish granted by the Dragon God Shenron. But what challenges lie ahead? Who's wish will be granted by the Dragon Balls?
