The highly anticipated fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol is almost upon us. The stakes are high, and both fighters are coming off devastating stoppage victories. In January of this year, Beterbiev defeated former champion Callum Smith via a 7th round Tko, after delivering a series of punches that the Brit couldn’t overcome. The victory not only retained Beterbiev’s titles, but also extended his perfect, undefeated record. 20 fights, 20 knockouts. The Chechen has established himself as one of the most feared men in boxing, and his ability to dominate and suffocate opponents was on display yet again.

Dmitry Bivol on the other hand, is celebrated for his technical prowess. With 21 victories and 0 losses, Bivol has showcased his ability to outbox and outthink some of the most renowned boxers in the world, such as current super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. However more recently, Bivol retained his WBA title by stopping previously undefeated Malik Zinad in the 6th round of their fight. It was this performance that finally set up the mega showdown that will take place on October 12th, against fellow Russian rival Artur Beterbiev, in what could be the biggest fight of the year.
