Why Are Fans Criticizing Tank Davis for Lamont Roach Fight?

According to several reports on X. Gervonta Tank Davis is scheduled to fight Super Featherweight champ Lamont Roach in December. Since the news broke, boxing fans have voiced their opinion about this fight.

On X, Tank fires back at the criticism he's receiving from boxing fans. A Tank Davis fan who goes by the name of Lee on X says, " You wilding bro. I f**k with you heavy, but I'm dead-ass not watching this fight with Lamont Roach.

I would rather you not fight at all. Another fan name Q says, "He consistently gives his fans his Azz for them to kiss and they continue to line up and support it. So why would he change what he’s been doing.

He’s a boxer who supports drug cheats, he’s a boxer who supports catch weights, he’s a boxer who represents everything wrong with the sport but because fans keep ignoring it he will continue to perpetuate this behavior.

Tank has been fighting below-level comp for a while now and when he does fight someone he’s never really in any form of threat to lose.

Another fan who goes by the name Q says, "Embarrassing he’s 29. Haney is 24 and Lopez is also 27 younger they both fought much better opponents and accomplished more than Tank.

Another fan named BoxFrog says, "How the f**k can Tank fans defend this? It's pathetic. You're f**king 30!

Tank has always acknowledged he's a prize fighter. He's never asked to fight the top guys in the division. Some Tank fans say Lomachenko and Shakur are ducking Tank. However, there's no proof of that.

Ron Boy Fresh says, "Davis is a flat-out Gimmick and scammer.

Either way, you slice the cake. Tank Davis is following the Canelo Alvarez blueprint. Take less risk, while getting paid doing it.
