2 Corinthians 02 The God of All Comfort 1:1-11

SBC Family,

Tonight we will look at THE central passage on SUFFERING in the Bible. This type of suffering is suffering for Christ. It encourages us to not be afraid of suffering for Christ by evangelizing people. We often worry about what others will think and how it might affect our life negatively in some way. This passage tells us that the God of all comfort will give us comfort that is greater than the affliction. Few probably enjoy this comfort because they simply won't testify to Christ in a way that brings suffering. Paul knew better. He was probably afflicted for Christ more than anyone, and he says the comfort is greater than the affliction. This is a supernatural comfort that comes only through the suffering path.

Join us tonight as Paul eloquently vindicates his apostleship to the Corinthians in preparation for his third visit.
