Many Americans have not recovered from NAFTA, Bush's and Obama's Great Recession, and the last two administrations' mishandling of COVID. Wages have been stagnant for some time, and housing inflation (among many other types of inflation) are eating into wage growth despite historic levels of worker productivity. Political scientist Benjamin Studebaker describes why this is happening, and how the two parties are culpable in America's inequality.
