Protesters tell Vatican 'women can be priests' as Synod starts

Advocates for women’s ordination on Wednesday (October 2) held a prayerful demonstration in Rome to ask for the inclusion of women in ordained ministry as Pope Francis convened the final session of the Synod. Executive director of the Women's Ordination Conference, Kate McElwee told Reuters women needed to experience full equality within the Catholic Church.
