Is Truth & Reconciliation Day just another White hate or Christian hate narrative? Will this process foster healing? The proposed law to punish anyone who speaks opposing the narrative presented, is that going to help healing? Is the Indigionous culture a culture of censorship, a dictatorship?

This is an alternative look at Truth & Reconciliation Day and maybe it should be called Truth, Self-Reflection, Forgiveness & Empowerment Day.

Truth: Real Truth without hate, view facts and details even if it may go against the narrative once thought. Truth is not how you feel, but facts of each situation.

Self-Reflection: Be accountable for all the things that are done to the community by people within the community. Hold accountable corruption, leadership failures, and stop the spread of hate by forgiveness.

Forgiveness: The deliberate decission to release feelings of resentment or vengence towards someone or a group, regardless whether one feels they deserve it or not. This transformation of feelings and attitudes free's oneself from the corrosive anger.

Empowerment: The process of a race, community or individual to gain autonomy, self-determination and ability to responsibly and positively contribute to the self and community. Crucial to fostering confidence, a process where individuals or groups, better themselves to be able to contribute to the social development and their quality of life.
