Switzerland and Italy redraw border due to melting glaciers

Switzerland and Italy have redrawn part of their Alpine border, including areas near the Matterhorn, due to melting glaciers caused by climate change.

Glacier ridgelines that once marked the border have shifted, prompting both nations to adjust the boundary. Switzerland approved the agreement, but Italy has yet to sign.

The changes will affect popular ski resorts and areas like Plateau Rosa and Zermatt, the BBC has reported.
