Like many composers of the past and present, not much is known about Jules Beauvoir (1863 - 1922) he was born in Paris, the 4th born of 6 children. He inherited his father's tobacconist shop in London England. He was an amateur musician who played the piano, flute and cello at a professional level. He was contented to compose in his spare time, not for fame but pleasure. Beauvoir Self-published his music were he gave it to musicians and friends as gifts.
