Identity Thief Steals $10k and Thinks She'll Get Away with It

On January 17, 2024 in Florida, officers responded to a call from a local bank regarding a suspected fraud. The caller reported that a woman was in the bank who had previously withdrawn $9,500 from an account that had been flagged after the real account holder alerted the bank to the suspicious activity. When officers arrived, they found the woman at the teller counter, attempting to move more money between accounts. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
