Tanaz Agha: A Story Of Seeking Refuge & Returning Home | RA Interview

Melanie Steliou reconnects with her childhood friend, Tanaz Agha, whose family fled Iran and settled in Lebanon, only to find themselves once again on the run when Israel bombarded Lebanon in 1982 and they fled to Cyprus where she spent her early years. After studying abroad, Tanaz returned to Lebanon to settle, only to face a hauntingly familiar situation, as the country once more endured relentless bombardment from Israel.
In 2006 as the invasion of Lebanon unfolded, her family once again sought refuge, in Cyprus, their home away from home.
